The CEO of McDan Group of Companies, Dr. Daniel McKorley, has challenged Ghanaian youth to put attitude first in the fight against Graduate unemployment.
Speaking on the topic, “The Role of Universities in Fostering Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Incubation” at the 4th Industry-Academia Interactions series at the University of Ghana, last Monday (15thOctober), Dr. McKorley said, he made his first million dollars at the age of 28 on the streets of Accra because he “put on the right attitude to work”.
According to him, our tertiary education is becoming too theoretical, telling the stories of the western world.
He added that, he has received over 1, 000 CVs but “ I have stopped employing CVs but attitude. He, therefore, challenged the youth to put aside their academic qualifications and go the extra mile.
“If Apple had started in Africa, they would have failed. Let’s start writing the McDan stories” he fired.
